Lookin for a house in Japan [Japanese Topic]
Recession in Japan has a big effect on the housing market and this year the government implement several financial support to buy a house as the economic stimulus package. For example, one of the package raises inheritance and gift tax exemption ceiling and enables older generations to pass down their assets before their deaths to their children.
I think the housing market will recover and land prices rise little by little and I started to look for a house from the end of last year.
I've looked for a used house and that' why it's cheaper then a new house under the same conditions!
But it's difficult to find the used houses in Japan. Japanese trend to prefer a new house to a used house and they say Japanese houses last around 26 years and the endurance of Japanese houses is shorter than that of the other countries.
On the other hand, I hear the endurance of Japanese houses has been getting longer then ever and the used house market has been getting larger.
I think Japanese should cherish their houses for a longer time and I do my best to find a used house for Japan!
