Eating manners

Japanese always say "いただきます"("Itadakimasu") with joining their hands in prayer before eating.
"Itadakimasu" is a token of their gratitude for eating creature's lives, for example vegitables, fish, pork, beef.
And after eating, Japanese always say "ごちそうさま"("Gochisousama") with joining their hands in prayer .

Even a child says "Itadakimasu" before meals and "Gochisousama" after meals.
